Client family centered case study on Madam Tengka Janet

Abstract

Student midwives by the completion of this script contributes to the fight against high maternal and neonatal morbidity rates. This is in the sense that, client and family are given individualized centered care when their problems are identified and managed using the nursing process. The care study also offers the student midwife opportunity to put into practice knowledge acquired in the classroom and also identify women with special needs and hence focus attention on them. Client and family are assured of confidentiality of information. It again helps the student midwife to use tools such as the Partograph in the management of labour. The report on the care study is compiled into document in partial fulfilment for the award of the registered midwifery licensed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana
