Abstract
The adoption of e-learning in various institutions is now the trend to the future of education especially in the higher education. The main aim of this study is to assess the knowledge and the impact of E-learning on the academic performance of students of Holy Family Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Berekum. Fifty students were chosen for the study using the stratified sampling technique. Primary data was gathered from the field of study (HFNMTC, Berekum) through a well-structured questionnaire. Data was obtained manually from the answered questionnaires with the help of Microsoft excel. The findings revealed that, students have enough knowledge on the e-learning system. The study recommends that, learners and lecturers should have some basic Information and Communication Technology skills for an effective implementation of the e-learning system. The study also recommends that, there should be effective internet connectivity in the e-learning environment. Also, the development of well secured e-learning portal or systems to prevent external manipulation was recommended
